Not even sure what version I was on before this but they look to have made a lot of improvements since then.

The upgrade process was pretty painless, there were a few manual steps involved but definitely worth doing. I disabled all my plugins before the upgrade and after the upgrade it appeared that a lot of them were out of date, now you can simply just press update from the plugins page and it downloads the update and installs it all for you, if there is anything to configure it tells you that too.

Upgraded them all, activated the ones I was using. so easy! and apparently now I can upgrade wordpress much the same way for future upgrades so will be looking forward to that as well. The new admin interface is a lot better than the old one.
