I went out last night to have a good time chilling at the Persian Gardens at Elder Park, when we got there everyone was being turned away because it was Invite Only. Be nice if they advertised it as that!!!! ARGHHHH.
Anyway, on North Terrace, the 2008 Adelaide Bank Festival as opening. They had closed North Terrace at 6:00pm to perpare for the grand opening at 9:00pm. We wondered over there just in time to see the extaordinary event that it was.
Mike Rann came out and did his thing welcoming everyong to the opening and how the spotlight was on Adelaide with all the Fringe and things going on at the moment. I wasn’t really paying attention to be honbest but as I was soon to learn it was the highlight of the entire event.
